Day 20@sea, after a beautiful sunset, the Elgin Eagle was deployed to the Pacific Ocean. the Elgin Eagle is the BGC-Float mascot for grade 4 of Elgin Elementary School in Sonoita, AZ. In the below pictures, you can see our Rec-tech Josh Manger (left) and CTD watchstander Vic Dana deploying the Elgin Eagle to the ocean. With a drawing of the R/V Roger Revelle (the ship we’re on right now) on the Elgin Eagle (Image 1), I’m sure the Elgin Eagle will have a long and happy life in the ocean.
