A training for early and mid-career scientist and researchers on how to access and utilize GO-BGC float data to answer relevant research questions.

Fei Chai: Upper ocean biogeochemical responses to extreme events based on BGC-Argo observations. Alison Gray: Insights into the Southern Ocean carbon cycle from a mixed layer budget based on BGC-Argo observations.

1:15 – 2:35 PM	UH Rm 1300	Science Talks (unfortunately audio quality is poor) Mari Bif: Using BGC floats and taxonomy to observe the impact of MHWs on the microbial ecosystem. Ken Johnson: Thinking outside the box: things you shouldn’t be able to detect with BGC-Argo, but can. Yibin Huang: Robotic Floats Provide a New Look at the Southern Ocean Biological Carbon Pump. Mark Altabet: Recent developments in studying ODZ biogeochemistry with floats.

3:00 – 5:00PM	UH Rm 1300	Intro tutorials/Team formation- Optional tutorials on using BGC Argo data access toolboxes (OneArgo toolbox for Matlab and R, argopy for python). Those who do not wish to participate in the tutorials can start team activities during this time.
