In 2023, the R/V Revelle conducted a basin-wide expedition in the Indian Ocean made up of smaller expeditions including the DMBE; Port Louis, Mauritius to Goa, India transit; ASTRAL/EKAMSAT; Goa, India to Fremantle, Australia transit; and the IO5 expedition.

The floats deployed from the Revelle as part of the IO5 were adopted by schools from California, Georgia, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Canada. Check out all adopted floats on the Adopt-a-float data table.
